Launching Q2 2026

Ship on signal,
not instinct.

Users answer a single question right inside your product. ChimeIn groups the responses into themes, surfaces churn risk, and lands a 2-minute digest in your inbox every Monday. No surveys. No spreadsheets. Just the signal you need to build the right thing.

Made for

The PM who has a backlog, a sprint, and no time to run a research project between them.

You ship every 1–2 weeks and need signal at that cadence, not a six-week synthesis

You're tired of explaining why Dovetail costs more than your entire toolstack

You want customers to feel heard, without it becoming someone's full-time job

The Problem

You're shipping on instinct. You could be shipping on signal.

Every product team under 20 people has the same quiet crisis: you don't actually know what your customers want most. You know what the loudest ones want. You know what sales is asking for. The rest is guesswork dressed up as strategy.

01
Survivorship bias

The loudest customer wins

Your roadmap is driven by whoever’s most active in Slack, the one enterprise client who keeps calling, and whichever feature request got the most upvotes last year.

One voice drowning out the rest

97% of customers stay silent. The 3% shape your roadmap.
02
Non-response bias

Surveys get 3% response. You decide from a sample of four.

You send a form. Almost no one fills it out. The ones who do are outliers. The silent 97% just churn without a word.

3% replied 97% ghost
3% average customer survey response rate in SaaS.
03
Research lag

Research projects take six weeks. You shipped already.

By the time you’ve recruited, interviewed, synthesized, and presented, you’ve already shipped the thing you were asking about.

Recruit → Interview → Synthesize → Present → Ship ✔

6 wks minimum research cycle. The roadmap moved on.
04
Market abandonment

Research tools are leaving small teams behind.

Dovetail, Productboard, and the rest are moving up-market. Pricing keeps creeping. Features keep hiding behind enterprise tiers. The tooling that used to fit a 20-person SaaS quietly stopped fitting.

Sprig $175/mo
Productboard $600/mo
Dovetail $1,200/mo

“We outgrew Canny but couldn’t justify Productboard’s price. There was nothing in between.”

The Fix

One question. One sentence.
Signal that shapes what you ship.

Drop ChimeIn into your product. Customers answer in context, in 20 seconds. The AI reads every response, clusters themes, flags churn risk, and delivers a 2-minute Monday digest to Slack.

How It Works

Three steps. Ten minutes of setup. Forever useful.

01

Drop in the widget

One JS snippet in your app, or use email mode for flows outside the product. Pick a question, pick a placement, go live in five minutes.

02

Your customers chime in

They answer in a sentence or a voice note, in context, while they’re using your product. Non-intrusive. Dismissible. Never more than one prompt per session.

03

Read the Monday digest

AI clusters responses into themes, flags churn risk, pulls out verbatim quotes. Delivered to Slack or email. Forwardable to your team. 2 minutes to read.

Features

One widget. Five ways to ask.

Ask a default question everywhere with a floating launcher. Ask a billing-specific question inline on your billing page. Trigger a contextual prompt after a specific action: onboarding complete, settings saved, plan upgraded. Run a banner for a time-boxed campaign. Or send an email for moments outside the product. All configured from one dashboard.

Floating Inline Slide-in Banner Email

Targeting rules

5 active · frequency caps enabled

Everywhere "What's the one thing you wish Acme did?" Floating launcher
On /billing* "Anything about billing…?" Inline
After event settings_saved "How'd you find setting this up?" Slide-in
Nov 1–15 "What would make funnels 10× more useful?" Top banner
On /cancel "Why are you canceling? One sentence is fine." Inline

AI does the reading so you don't have to.

You read four themes. Not four hundred messages. Every chime gets tagged, clustered, and scored. Similar responses group into themes that grow over time. Urgent language gets flagged as churn risk. Verbatim quotes get extracted automatically. Paste them straight into a Linear ticket and move on.

“Why does my trial expire before I onboard my team?”

Close the loop. Keep customers.

When you mark a theme as shipped, ChimeIn can email the original customers who asked for it. This is the retention mechanic most feedback tools ignore, and the reason people keep responding.

Re Remember when you mentioned CSV export?

Hey Jamie —

A few weeks ago you mentioned wanting CSV export from the funnels page. We just shipped it this morning.

Thanks for the nudge — this is exactly how we figure out what to build.

Placements

Ask where it makes sense. Nowhere it doesn’t.

A customer on your billing page has different things on their mind than one in the middle of onboarding. ChimeIn’s five placements let you ask the right question at the right moment, with frequency caps built in so nobody sees the same prompt twice.

01 · Floating launcher

Always there, never in the way

Intrusion Low

02 · Contextual inline

Embedded in your page content

Intrusion Medium

03 · Post-action slide-in

Fires after a key event

Intrusion Medium

04 · Thin top banner

Time-boxed campaigns only

Intrusion Higher

05 · Email campaign

For moments outside the product

Intrusion Low

Frequency caps by default. Each user sees max one contextual prompt per session, never the same question twice in 30 days.

A Shifting Market

Built for the teams Dovetail left behind.

The category leaders in customer research (Dovetail, Productboard, Sprig) are openly moving enterprise. Pricing keeps creeping. Features keep migrating to higher tiers. The research tools that used to work for a 20-person SaaS quietly stopped fitting the budget, the workflow, and the team size.

ChimeIn is built for the teams they’re leaving behind. Five to fifty people. No dedicated researcher. No procurement process. Just a PM or a founder who needs continuous customer signal without becoming a full-time analyst.

The Unfair Advantage

Most feedback tools end at “we’ll pass that along.” Ours ends with “we shipped it.”

When you mark a theme as shipped in ChimeIn, we email the customers who originally asked for it. They hear back from you, personally, about the thing they flagged weeks ago. Most of them forgot they said anything. None of them forget you remembered.

We built ChimeIn around one insight: people keep responding when they believe someone is actually listening. The closed loop isn't a nice-to-have. It's the engine.

Where We’re Headed

The widget is the start. Not the destination.

ChimeIn launches as the lightest way to capture customer voice in your product. Over time we’re building toward something bigger: the synthesis layer for everything your customers tell you. Your support tickets, your sales calls, your community threads, your churn surveys, all clustered into one Monday digest. One place that finally makes sense of all the signal you’ve been drowning in. The widget is just the first input.

Founding cohort

We're not launched yet. That's the point.

ChimeIn opens to founding members in Q2 2026. Get in early and you lock in three things that go away the day we open to everyone.

First access

You skip the public queue entirely. Founding members onboard before we open the doors: no waiting, no waitlist lottery.

50% off. Forever.

Lock in half price the day we launch. It applies to every paid plan and never expires, no matter how the product or pricing grows.

Shape the roadmap

Direct line to our team. What you need in month one drives what we build in month two. Founding members have shaped products before. This is that.

Questions product teams ask us.

When does ChimeIn launch?

We're targeting Q2 2026 for early access. Founding waitlist members get in first and keep 50% off for life.

What does the 50% lifetime discount cover?

Any paid plan, forever, as long as you stay subscribed. You lock in half off the day we launch and it never expires.

Does it work if we have fewer than 100 customers?

Yes, and honestly it might matter more at small scale, where every customer signal is ~1% of your total. You’ll see patterns in ChimeIn that are invisible in a survey at that size.

Will the widget slow down our app?

No. The SDK is ~12KB gzipped, loads async, and never blocks your page. We run our own infra. No third-party pixels.

What about GDPR and data privacy?

Customers can chime in fully anonymously if the PM configures it that way. When identity is captured, we act as a data processor and sign a standard DPA.

How does ChimeIn compare to Dovetail and Productboard?

Dovetail and Productboard are excellent for dedicated research teams at companies that can afford them, but both are openly moving up-market, with pricing and features increasingly aimed at enterprise. ChimeIn is built for the teams that don't fit that profile: small SaaS companies who need continuous customer signal without a research platform's overhead.

Will ChimeIn integrate with my support tool, Intercom, Slack, or Gong?

Slack is in at launch for digest delivery. Other integrations are coming based on what our design partners actually need. We're not shipping a long integration list for the sake of it. Long-term, ChimeIn becomes the synthesis layer that ingests feedback from your support tickets, sales calls, and community threads alongside the widget.

What if my customers just don't chime in?

The two biggest levers are: asking the right question (we'll give you starter templates), and closing the loop (the 'we shipped it' email is what turns first chimes into repeat chimes). We'll help you tune both, and we'll be with you every step of the way as a founding member.
